SEEKING: Golf Course Superintendent – Rosebud Country Club
An exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced golf course management professional to lead the course maintenance team at this unique club.
In a centrally located position on the Mornington Peninsula and within easy driving distance from Melbourne, Rosebud Country Club offers a slice of golfing paradise. Since 1962 the club has provided members, guests and the local community with a diverse range of facilities and services – including 36-holes of championship golf (ranked in Golf Australia magazine’s Top 100 Public Access courses), lawn bowls and a clubhouse providing hospitality, gaming and function services.
With an emphasis on improving performance, and together with its diverse offering, the club is ideally placed for growth in a competitive local market.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a dedicated and high-performing course maintenance team that provides a golf course, and surrounding environment, that meets the sporting and social needs of the club’s members and guests.
Your priorities will be:
- Improving the current condition and presentation of the golf course and environs;
- Managing and maintaining the club’s other main facilities, including bowling greens, practice facilities, clubhouse surrounds and gardens;
- Providing leadership, supervision, training and support to the course maintenance team;
- Leading the development and execution of a Course Management Plan; and
- Contributing to the club’s financial performance and position.
To be successful with this appointment you will possess the following key performance attributes:
- Proven record in successful golf course management, including the delivery of consistent and high-quality playing surfaces and surrounds;
- Demonstrated leadership, motivation and management of a high-performing course maintenance team;
- Be highly capable at financial, administration and compliance management; and
- Appropriate qualifications in turf management.
You will possess excellent project management and organisational skills with a willingness and versatility to work collaboratively with the general manager, senior management team, committees and contractors. Also, you will be a friendly, independent and motivated person with strong communication and personal skills that match the club’s culture. Golf playing experience is desirable.
An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role.
