SEEKING: Golf Manager – Links Hope Island

About Links Hope Island Golf Resort:

Links Golf Resort is Gold Coast’s finest golfing facility, we are located on beautiful Hope Island only a 20 minute drive from the prestigious beaches of Surfers Paradise and 45 min drive from Brisbane CBD, making us the perfect location in South East Queensland. We aim to be one of Australia’s most innovative and progressive golf resorts in the industry.

Position Available:

Links Hope Island Golf Resort is looking for a Full Time Golf Manager. The successful applicant will manage all areas of Golf Operations, provide leadership and professional development to all Links golf employees. The applicant must be able to forward plan and manage day to day duties of Golf operations. The Golf Manager will be responsible for the members’ fixtures and competitions, they will ensure regular communication to members and staff on all operational issues. They will be held accountable for all cost control of Golf Operations, this includes efficient rostering, stock control and budget monitoring.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To prepare and regularly review the business plan for golf operations
  • To produce regular reports on financial performance, stock control and sales and marketing activities
  • To review and develop standard operating procedures for each area of the golf business to ensure maximum customer satisfaction whilst maximising revenue and profitability;
  • Prepares annual and monthly budgets for golf operations, takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained;
  • To achieve revenue and meet all budget requirements for golf operations;
  • Ensures tee sheets are managed to provide the maximum opportunity for golf course usage and yield return;
  • Consults with General Manager about golf course and practice range operations and maintenance;
  • Organises and conducts all member and golf related events:
  • Ensures all golf rules are interpreted and enforced;
  • Maintain a strong operational presence and take a hands on approach;
  • Interprets club policies and procedures and ensures adherence;
  • Creating initiatives to generate additional revenue;
  • Recruit, train and develop all golf operations staff;
  • Uphold exceptional customer service at all times.

 
Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant must possess the following:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Golf Manager role or similar;
  • Current First Aid certificate is essential;
  • Extensive understanding of how each department operates (Food & Beverage, Golf Course Maintenance etc.) and how it impacts Golf Operations and the business;
  • Experience in yield management, budgeting, revenue forecasting, capital expenditure, stock management and sales and marketing plans;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and some public holidays;
  • Positive outgoing attitude ready to do what it takes to get the job done.
