About the business and the role
Barnbougle Golf Links was voted the 2017 Best Golf Resort in Australia. We have two world class golf courses with varying accommodation for up to 150 guests. We have approximately 120 staff at any one time. Our philosophy is to do all that we can to ensure that our guests enjoy a unique golf and accommodation experience.
The Golf operations role will be predominantly based at the Dunes golf course pro shop providing our guests with retail services, golf and accommodation check in, provision of golf and general information relating to the resort. The working environment can be very busy with regularly over 150 golfers passing through the pro shop in a day.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Retail sales, checking in golfers for the day, course marshaling, maintaining a clean working environment, daily cash reconciliation, administration of team golf competitions, regular communication with other departments, checking guests in and out of accommodation, assist with all guest needs, become proficient with all in-house software systems, provide courteous and professional advice to all of our guests.
Skills and experience
- A sound knowledge of the game of golf and etiquette
- The ability to think on your feet.
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- An eye for detail.
- Relaxed and friendly with a genuine desire to give customer satisfaction.
- Excellent customer service, leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in problem solving and decision making.
- Good prioritisation/time management
- Background in hospitality.
- To be able to work within a small team environment and independently.
- Current RSA accreditation.
- Current drivers license.
- Be able to work a rotating roster covering 7 days per week.
