SEEKING: Golf Services Manager – Ocean Dunes King Island

Ocean Dunes is on the west coast of King Island, just a short drive from the airport and the main town on the island, Currie. Designed by Graeme Grant, holes snake their way up, down and around huge dunes offering dramatic golf shots and incredible views out to the ocean. Although having only opened in September 2016, the course is already ranked as one of the best golf courses in the country.

Ocean Dunes is seeking to employ a Certified PGA Member to join the team as Golf Services Manager on a three-month full time contract. Actual working hours will vary depending on golf bookings, and the successful applicant will need to be flexible.

Initially a three-month contract will be offered due to the seasonal nature of the business, with the contract ending in May 2018. However, there might be an opportunity for the contract to be extended.

The successful applicant will be an important and valuable member of the team at Ocean Dunes contributing to its ongoing success and growth as one of the premier golf courses in the world.

You must be well presented, honest and reliable, organized, self-motivated with a good work ethic, have a willingness to learn, display good communication skills, willing to work the hours required by the business needs, and be able to work as part of a team. Customer service skills are essential. Will need to have RSA and Food Handling Cert.

 

 

Duties of the role will include but are not limited to;

• General Pro shop duties
• Provide high level customer service
• Starting and Tee management
• Merchandise stock control
• Collection of Green fees and Hire fees
• Golf cart cleaning and maintenance

An attractive remuneration package including return airfares to King Island and accommodation assistance will be discussed with the successful applicant.
