SEEKING: Indoor Golf Venue Manager – Kooringal Golf Club

Kooringal Golf Club located in Altona, Victoria is a Golf Club with a large Membership base, 18 Hole Championship golf course and spacious Clubhouse 20 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and creative Manager to take charge of our brand new Indoor Golf Venue.

Our Indoor Golf Venue is fully equipped with 3 of the world’s best Golf Simulators. Our Simulators will be used for coaching, general golf course play and a variety of functions and events for our Members and the wider community. We are currently looking for a venue manager in a full-time role to help drive and grow this exciting new venture. The Venue will be open 7 days per week and will include flexible work schedule and availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Help execute all marketing programs and promotions
Ensure effective maintenance of Golf simulators
Ensure quality presentation of the venue
Staff rostering
Monitor/ maintain inventory including stocktakes
Competitions and Memberships
Coaching / coordinating coaching with contractors
Engagement of Members, social groups, corporate groups, school groups
Social Media and local business engagement

The ideal candidate will possess and provide:

Exceptional Customer service standards
High Emotional Intelligence
Advanced knowledge of IT and Strong computer skills
Knowledge of the game of golf
Excellent communication skills

Skills that while not essential, will be well regarded:

PGA teaching accreditation or Community Golf Instructor accreditation
Willing to obtain or already have RSA

As a new and dynamic entertainment area, the Manager Role is pivotal in the success of the business, so previous experience is preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Director of Golf.
