SEEKING: Manager – Golf Club Services – Golf Rewards

The Company

 Golf Passport has been a regular feature of the Australian golf industry since 2002, supporting clubs to generate additional revenue and attract new membership prospects. With an established network of more than 200 associated golf clubs in Australia, Golf Passport is now also expanding internationally.

In 2014 Golf Rewards was formed to facilitate the transition of Golf Passport to a digital format. This involved the deployment of a unique centralised operating system, designed to service the rapidly growing loyalty market. This system gives associated golf clubs privileged access to a variety of corporate partners, both locally and internationally.

Golf Rewards is now one of Australia’s leading golf marketing companies, making golf ‘good for business’.

The Role

Golf Rewards is entering an exciting phase of its development and is seeking a highly motivated person to take on the role of Manager – Golf Club Services.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is both a sales and service role, requiring a high degree of autonomy, but also the ability to work collaboratively with other key internal stakeholders.

The successful person will take overall responsibility for the relationship between Golf Rewards and the golf clubs throughout Australia, including further development of the highly successful Golf Passport network.

Golf clubs are major suppliers to Golf Rewards in terms of business opportunities, and for this reason alone, this role is of vital importance to the company.

Golf Rewards is also in the process of developing an exciting new program for the benefit of associated golf clubs and their members which will also be incorporated into this role.

The role is based in Melbourne (Eastern suburbs) but will require occasional interstate travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Involves both planning and executional activities
  • Managing interface between Golf Rewards and associated clubs
  • Further developing network of associated clubs throughout Australia
  • Managing business ‘inventory’ supplied by associated golf clubs for promotion by Golf Rewards to its members
  • Liaison with Operations regarding various aspects of the business that relate to golf clubs including market research, marketing & communications, administration etc.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts with golf clubs, supported by the Managing Director
  • Demonstrate a structured territory approach to account and relationship management
  • Develop strong networks within the golf industry and keep abreast of relevant trends and competitor activity
  • Ensure all relationship-based interactions are accurately recorded in CRM

Key Skills / Competencies Required:

  • Highly motivated, shows initiative, great attitude (most important)
  • Existing network of golf industry relationships highly advantageous
  • Strong account / territory management experience
  • Pro-active and driven by a passion for service
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General computer skills
  • Team player
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment
