Our client, Acushnet Australia, is the home of Titleist and FootJoy and is committed to providing both dedicated and aspirational golfers alike with products and services of superior performance and quality.

A vacancy has arisen in Acushnet’s Marketing Team for a Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Titleist Brand Manager, you will be responsible for multiple marketing activities across both the Titleist and FootJoy brands to support the wider sales, marketing and administrative functions. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for product management for Titleist gear product portfolio which includes headwear, gloves, bags and accessories.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing bookings for the Titleist Fitting Centre, Fitting / Trial Days and related website updates
  • General sales & marketing support including teaming with Brand Managers to execute plans
  • Team with Marketing Managers on social media plans and action of content (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Providing sales meeting, conference and event coordination support including travel bookings
  • Merchandising and point of sale order coordination for Account Managers
  • General administrative support including; updating company databases, mail-outs, pricelist compilation and coordination of mail services, ordering of office stationery and catering requests
  • Prepare golf gear category annual product plans and sales forecasts, along with managing the implementation of product, marketing and merchandising initiatives aligned to Titleist Gear business plans
  • Liaison to Acushnet USA for product range and product requirements
  • Product life cycle planning including: launch calendar, merchandising planner, promotional material planning and EOPLC management

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, product, brand or category management, ideally in golf and/or sporting goods sector
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in PowerPoint, Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Graphics experience with Photoshop and InDesign
  • Experience with updating Social Media content will be highly regarded.
  • Thinks strategically, possesses strong problem-solving , analytical ability and sound forecasting skills
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, administration and time management
  • Self-starter who is a committed team player.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
