SEEKING: Restaurant & Bar Manager – Flagstaff Hill Golf Club
The Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, situated in the Southern suburbs of Adelaide provides an ideal setting for members and visitors to enjoy not just golf, but all the benefits of club life which includes an exceptional dining and special function experience.
The Club’s catering business includes bar & lunch meals 6 days a week, public dining 4 nights a week and availability for special occasion functions, events, seminars and weddings 7 days a week.
The Club is seeking to appoint a Restaurant and Bar Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the Club’s front of house operations. Reporting to the Club Manager, the key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the clubhouse front of house facilities, including restaurant, lounge bar and function areas.
- Supervise and train all front of house food and beverage staff.
- Ensure that the Club’s hospitality services are managed in a cost effective and efficient manner, whilst maintaining the quality and standard of services befitting of our fine dining facilities and community club services.
- Provide exceptional service to members, guests and visitors of the Flagstaff Hill Golf Club.
- Assist with and provide inspiration to promotions of the clubhouse services and facilities.
- In liaison with the Club Manager ensure that the polices and directives of the Board of Management are implemented.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A high level of expertise in restaurant and bar management
- A passion for customer service
- A proven ability to build relationships with patrons, sponsors and suppliers for the benefit of promoting hospitality services
- A proven ability to train and develop staff to form a good working team that strives for excellence
- Sound Working knowledge of HR management and relevant industry awards and their implementation.
- The ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to change
- Ability to understand financial reports and provide sound input to budget requirements
- A strong attention to detail, with the willingness to lead by example and provide a hands on input to daily operations.
- An effective communicator with a wide range of people.
- Obvious enthusiasm, passion, drive, initiative and integrity are all necessary to the position.
- An ability to prioritise and manage time effectively for yourself and those staff under your responsibility.
A salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience.
