We have an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled Merchandiser with a passion for golf to join the Sport Shop team. This role is part time either 3 or 4 days per week.
What will I be doing?
- Purchasing apparel and accessories that will exceed member expectations and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Using your merchandising knowledge to create attractive and appealing displays that encourage sales.
- Utilizing your selling expertise to assist our members and create a positive shopping experience.
- Working with the Golf Manager to develop the annual retail plan.
- Timey entering and monitoring of Member orders into the purchase order system.
- Working directly with and training the staff in merchandising and rotating displays.
- Managing vendor relationships; maintaining all vendor contact information as it relates to purchasing incentives, seasonal offerings, special orders, and promotions.
What does the Club need from me?
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proven ability to develop budgets and buying plans.
- Strong communicator skills
- Extensive apparel merchandising experience, preferably with good knowledge of golf brands.
- Experience with Microsoft suite of products.
- Strong organisational skills
