SEEKING: Sous Chef – Parkwood International

Parkwood Village, Home of the Gold Coast Titans, has recently completed a multi-million-dollar development including Village Lane Pizzeria, Bar & Grill our new exciting dinning destination. Village Lane has 10 different & unique dinning spaces and around 300 seats. Parkwood Village also has the following facilities;

  • Parkwood Golf Course
  • X Golf Indoor Golf Simulators
  • Parkwood Village Weddings & Special Events Centre
  • Boulders & Badlands Mini Golf Course
  • Gold Coast Titans Administration and Training Facilities
  • Inside Out Public Gym
  • Jummps Trampoline Centre
  • Lane ropes Swim School
  • Q Scan
  • All Sports Physiotherapy
  • Elemental Yoga

 
Village Lane needs a talented, high preforming and passionate Sous chef to lead from the front. The successful applicant will have total control over seasonal menus and the day to day Village Lane kitchen operations reporting directly to the Executive chef.

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • The day to day operational management of Village Lane kitchen operations
  • Menu design, costings and implementation
  • Stock control, ordering & wage control
  • Working closely with the executive chef to source suitable produce
  • Take on a mentoring role for other chefs within the business
  • Drive revenues through consistent high quality meals with speed of service
  • Assist in developing a team culture within the Village Lane kitchen
  • Maintain cleaning and food safety standards at all times

 
Applicants must possess;

  • Extensive experience in high volume well respected kitchens
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a senior position in a similar restaurant
  • Absolute passion for quality food & cooking
  • Industry leader in menu design and innovation
  • Ability to seamlessly integrate with our team of friendly, outgoing professionals
  • Experience in the HR management of small to large teams
  • The autonomous ability to manage the business unit as if it was your own
  • Chef’s currently in middle management looking to take the next step in their career will also be considered for the position
