SEEKING: Trainee Professional – Roseville Golf Club

Roseville Golf Club is seeking to employ a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Trainee Professional to start in 2017. The private Golf Club is located close to Sydney CBD. The Club has invested significantly in recent years in its clubhouse, course and golfing facilities and as a result has gained a reputation as one of the finest golf, wedding and function centres on Sydney’s North Shore. This is a gorgeous centrally located venue with stunning views overlooking the golf course and National Park that greet members and guests as they enter the beautifully appointed clubhouse. It is a friendly and relaxed environment.

The Pro Shop is a pivotal part of the golf operation and is key in creating a positive and professional impression to all members and guests. Our mission is to provide the highest levels of service, with a contemporary range of golf product and modern computer systems for golf administration and management.

The club has just completed a $90,000 refurbishment to bring the quality of facilities to equal the best in Sydney.

The successful applicant must be well presented, honest and reliable, organised, self-motivated with a good work ethic, have a willingness to learn, display good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. Customer service skills are essential.

Duties will include but are not limited to: general pro shop duties and equipment sales, provide high level customer service, working with junior and ladies clinics, golf equipment repairs, competition starting, collection of the clubs competition & green fees, golf cart cleaning and maintenance, participation in club competitions on a regular basis.

Desirable criteria: Computer skills, good communication and customer service skills, very good time management skills and well presented, must work well in a team environment.

Package: The remuneration package will be Award terms and conditions for the successful candidate. This is a great long term career development opportunity. Applicants who have applied to commence their PGA Traineeship in 2017 are also encouraged to apply for this position.
