Clublinks has recently been appointed by Deakin University to lead the health, fitness, leisure and wellness initiatives across their Sports and Leisure facilities, located on the Burwood and Waurn Ponds campuses.

We are currently in the process of building the new teams to commence operations from January 1st 2018. We are seeking to engage a passionate, vibrant and energetic Venue Operations Manager for each Deakin site (Burwood and Waurn Ponds).

Reporting into the General Manager – Deakin Sports facilities, this role will be pivotal in building and leading a strong team at site level, delivering the daily operational requirements at the venue / facility and driving the growth initiatives along with the General Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

• Staff management
• Financial performance
• Customer Service
• Stadium / Facility / Precinct management
• Workplace Health and Safety
• Event management and marketing

 
Successful candidates will have:

• Significant, relevant and demonstrated experience working at management level within a sports centre or large scale gym environment
• Proven experience in driving customer service excellence
• Current level 2 First Aid
• Police check and Working with Children card
• Relevant degree in recreation / business or similar discipline
• Contract and Stakeholder Management experience
• Marketing and Business development skills
• Proven ability and experience to coordinate and develop community involvement
