Australian singer-songwriter Shannon Noll will headline the entertainment line up at this year’s Australian PGA Championship.

The Aussie chart topper, who shot to fame after finishing runner up in the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, has a list of accolades to his name including five top-10 albums and two number-one multi-platinum hits.

Noll made his debut with the song What About Me which went on to become the highest selling single of 2004 in Australia.

“It’s great to be headlining the Aussie PGA; I love golf so to be part of the entertainment lineup at this year’s tournament and see some great golf makes for a great day,” said Noll.

A selection of homegrown entertainment will be on offer during tournament week; offering spectators and the public a true festival of golf experience on the Gold Coast.

“There will be something for everyone at this year’s Australian PGA Championship,” said Brian Thorburn, CEO for the PGA of Australia.

“This year’s tournament will take on an exciting new direction that will offer a festival vibe during tournament week with great food, entertainment and of course, golf.”

The tournament village will come to life from 5pm every evening with food, beverages and live music on offer.

Joining Noll in the weeks’ lineup is well known Gold Coast performer Chris Hutchison. He returns to RACV Royal Pines Resort after a successful year in 2015 and with a PGA Professional father is a perfect fit for the Australian PGA Championship.

Trace Duo, a popular Brisbane based acoustic duo, will perform a range of music from the top-40 chart and will provide entertainment for the Greg Norman Medal Dinner on the Tuesday night of tournament week.

The Rebecca Kneen Duo has also been added to the lineup; a band that offers a polished, professional sound of popular hit songs.

Andre-T is an acoustic pop and soul act hailing from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula who offers a range genres and tones to keep her performances upbeat and fun.

Rounding out the entertainment is Kate Greer, an Australian vocalist and DJ, who is at the forefront of the Australian music scene offering a mix-up of House, Pop and Classic hits.

The Australian PGA Championship is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland’s It’s Live! in Queensland major events calendar.

The Australian PGA Championship will be played at RACV Royal Pines Resort from 1-4 December with tickets on sale via Ticketek.
