Victorian Private Residence with Augusta National inspired layout for sale

POSTED ON November 19, 2024 @ 11:15 am

A “one-of-a-kind” northern Victorian home with its own golf course is up for sale for the first time in almost 20 years.

The incredible Clarendon Eyre sits on about 260 acres of land in the small town of Bearii, next to the iconic Murray River.

Described by the selling agent as a “private utopia,” the gated estate houses its five-hole golf course designed to replicate the famed Augusta National Golf Club in the US state of Georgia.

The course spans 40 acres and features five holes with multiple playing options, an ornamental lake and carefully-groomed bunkers.

The house itself features seven bedrooms, five bathrooms and a 10-car garage.

It was built by amalgamating two historic buildings that were relocated to the site: the former Mornington Art Gallery and a weatherboard cottage in Malvern named Clarendon Eyre.

Both were relocated to the property where they were merged during an extensive refurbishment to create the resort-style home, which includes numerous high-end features.
