As the new Kennedy Bay golf clubhouse continues to take shape, plans for the multi-million transformation of Links Kennedy Bay were revealed last month.

Alongside the new golf clubhouse, the reinstatement of an improved links course will act as an entry statement to the Kennedy Bay coastal village and position the area as a must-visit destination.

Graham Marsh Design

The revitalisation of the Links Kennedy Bay Golf Course is currently in the approval phase with the City of Rockingham, and the redesign of the iconic golf course is being led by world-leading golf course architect Graham Marsh.

Commenting on the planned design, Graham said the new Links Kennedy Bay would not only retain the course’s integrity but improve its playability and ensure it is ‘fit for the future’.

“Essentially what we have achieved with the design amounts to a friendlier course where difficulty meets playability – it is every bit as challenging for the good player but easier for an average player to enjoy,” says Graham Marsh.

“It really is an exciting new era in golf and there are growing market segments to consider and appeal to. The redesign of the course also ensures future opportunities for a much wider audience.”

“The softer shapes of the sand dunes in some areas have offered many opportunity to explore the many strategies and intricacies that are so prevalent in authentic Links golf.”

$425 million development

Sustainability, contemporary golfing, golf technology, safety and playability are among the key factors that have driven the course’s redesign which is a welcomed and integral component of the new $425 million Kennedy Bay coastal development.

Works on the Links Kennedy Bay golf course are due for completion in 2023.

The new Clubhouse and Links course will collectively broaden the audience, members and players, bringing a whole new level of quality attraction and financial opportunity and quality to Kennedy Bay.
