All Aboard for SPH Golf Travel Fair
The inaugural SPH (Singapore Press Holdings) Golf Travel Fair will take place this year with a focus on celebrated golfing destinations.
To be held at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore Atrium from August 18-20, the gathering will showcase the latest deals in golf travel.
Organised by SPH Pacom Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd, and supported by UOB Travel Planners Pte Ltd as official travel partner, golf and travel packages that optimise the diverse range of exhibitors across the region will be presented to attendees.
“This is the first time a fair of such scale has been put together in Singapore,” said Karen Chan, Managing Director of SPH Pacom Pte Ltd, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
The fair will feature four Country Pavilions that highlight the attractions of each participating destination, and 27 pods belonging to golf-affiliated hotels, golf courses, resorts and country clubs.
“The exhibitors we are looking for must put a premium to quality, experience and value. Through our years of publishing Golf Vacations, we have seen countless golf courses, resorts and hotels, spas and destinations across the region and around the world. We are certain that we are able to curate the best of them for the benefit of all who visit the SPH Golf Travel Fair,” said Chan.
With the strength of its media outreach, consisting of daily newspapers – The Straits Times, Business Times, The New Paper – and periodicals – Golf Vacations and Golf/Women – as well as online assets such as SPHGolf.com, the fair will be marketed to more than 3.3 million potential consumers.
The SPH Golf Travel Fair 2017 will be open to the public and admission will be free throughout all three days.
SPH Golf was formed by media group SPH in April 2015. In addition to producing the monthly golf special SWING in three of SPH’s newspapers it also runs golf events such as the Business Times Corporate League and the Singapore leg of the World Amateur Golf Championship.
Last year saw the launch of the SPH Golf Card, providing golfers with more avenues to play golf and help golfers to maintain a USGA handicap.
“We partner with golf courses, retail and lifestyle merchants and the Singapore Golf Association to offer golfers a membership that gives unparalleled golfing and lifestyle privileges, including preferential green fee rates at top golf courses and a real time golf booking facility,” said Chan.
