Contractor Appointed for $16 Million Marangaroo Golf Course Redevelopment
The $16 million redevelopment of the Marangaroo Public Golf Course has taken a major step forward following the appointment of Hoskins Contracting to carry out the upgrades. Construction work is scheduled for completion in late 2027.
Planned Facility Upgrades
Initial site works for the project began in August. The planned upgrades include:
- A two-level, 44-bay undercover driving range
- A simulator and tuition room
- A new pro shop
- Changing rooms
- Expanded hospitality areas
- Expanded parking facilities
Prior to these works, the course’s grass driving range had remained largely unchanged since opening in 1988.
Strategic Investment and Operations
The project is part of a broader investment outlined in the City of Wanneroo’s public golf course strategic plan 2024–2039. As part of this plan, $10 million is also being allocated for upgrades at the Carramar course.
The City of Wanneroo owns both courses, while Belgravia Leisure manages operations on its behalf. Both locations will remain open during construction, though temporary closures in specific areas are expected.
Project Leadership Perspectives
Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken stated that the project would expand access for the community.

“Marangaroo has been part of our local golfing community for almost 40 years, and this investment will help ensure it continues to be enjoyed for generations to come,” Mayor Aitken said. “The new facilities will give experienced golfers more opportunities to practise and improve their game, while making it easier for beginners and families to get involved. It’s about building on what people already love about Marangaroo and creating a welcoming place for more of our community to enjoy.” |
Belgravia Leisure Business Operations Manager Douglas Bailey highlighted the collaboration behind the delivery.
