Eastwood Golf Club Appoints Stokes as New General Manager

EASTWOOD, VIC –  Eastwood Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Derek Stokes as its new General Manager, effective September 2, 2026.

Stokes brings over 15 years of senior executive experience in financial strategy, multi-entity operations, and governance within elite Australian member-based organizations and national sporting bodies.

Before joining Eastwood Golf Club, Stokes served as Chief Financial Officer at The Sandhurst Club. His extensive career in golf management also includes a five-year tenure at The Metropolitan Golf Club, where he served as Head of Finance and took on critical operational leadership roles as Interim General Manager and Assistant General Manager during pivotal transition periods.

A Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA), Stokes’ broader career includes over 13 years with the PGA of Australia across various finance and management capacities, as well as serving as a Non-Executive Director for Archery Australia.

In his new role, Stokes will oversee all club operations, strategic planning, member services, and financial management to drive sustainable growth and enhance the Eastwood member experience.
