EOI: Golf Industry “Field Trip w/ Mike Orloff” – Singapore/Thailand April 2025

POSTED ON February 15, 2025 @ 11:13 am

Golf Industry Central and Golf Industry Asia are seeking EOI from the international golf industry for anyone who may want to attend an Educational/Networking/Golf Tour of Singapore and Thailand from 23 April – 2 May 2025 (approximate dates).

US and Australian PGA Member Mike Orloff and GBI & HK PGA Member Sean Plunkett will be your hosts for this event.

Over the 10 days, we will organise a mix of golf (4 rounds), educational sessions on club management, coaching, or agronomy (we will facilitate based on group interest), free time to sightsee (or more golf), and a chance to network with like-minded industry stakeholders from various countries. We will shape the event to the needs of the group that is coming to ensure you all get the most out of the trip.

*If you have not visited Asia before, but have a strong interest in potential employment opportunities in the region, this is also a great way to meet people and get a better understanding of what is available.

At this point, it’s five days in Singapore and five days in Phuket, Thailand to coincide with the GBI PGA International Conference, which is being held from 28 April to 1 May.

*You can add additional days to the front or back of this tour and bring your partners if you like. Attend Singapore or Thailand only is your time is limited.

To be held at Laguna Phuket from April 28 to May 1, the conference will feature a dynamic lineup of internationally renowned speakers and industry experts.

The theme for this year’s event is: ‘Driving Success: Innovation & Technology for Golf Leaders and Coaches.’

Robert Maxfield , the PGA of GB&I’s Chief Executive, will tee-off proceedings by offering insights into the Association’s direction for 2025 and beyond.

“This event will offer practical sessions to help golf managers and coaches enhance their skills and impact within the golf industry,” said Wayne Johnson, Regional Manager (International) for the PGA of GB&I.

Knight, Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Asia for Toro, will make a presentation on innovative solutions for a sustainable future through Toro’s turf machinery technology.

Meanwhile, Johnston, General Manager and Director of Agronomy at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club, will share insights into ‘The Sentosa Story: Our Sustainability Journey.’

Among other notable industry leaders featured in the line-up are PGA Master Coach Jonathan Wallett and Carl Heaton, an expert in marketing the golf experience.

With a passion for elevating the effectiveness of coaches worldwide, Wallett has created invaluable resources for those seeking to advance their careers. He will guide attendees through the essential elements of building a successful golf academy that not only drives membership growth but also accelerates player development.

PGA of GB&I Members and delegates at the conference will also have the opportunity to study with Heaton, to better understand and apply the in-depth principles and application of Ai in their daily management and coaching.
