Forest City Golf Course opening cancelled
Tomorrow’s opening ceremony for the prestigious RM1.8 billion Forest City Golf Hotel & Legacy Golf Course by Johor ruler has been announced canceled, but other events in conjunction with the opening will still take place.
The cancellation was announced in a statement today by Forest City management, Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd, without specifying why.
“However, the golf course will commence operations and be opened to the public tomorrow (September 1),” read the statement.
“The closed-door golf tournament, with 60 registered pax, will still proceed as usual,” said the spokesman.
The Golf Course Resort is part of the multi-billion-dollar Forest City development, which comprises apartment blocks, landed houses, office towers, hotels and shopping centres.
The first 18 holes at the tri-course was designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack II.
