Foxtel Group exclusive rights to 2022 Australian golf schedule

POSTED ON January 7, 2022 @ 5:13 pm

The Foxtel Group has signed an agreement with the PGA Tour of Australasia which will see the 2022 golf season live and exclusive on Foxtel and Kayo, which will air between 13-16 January.

Over 100 hours of live Australasian golf coverage will be broadcast, including the Australian PGA Championship and VIC Open which will both also be available live and free on Kayo Freebies.

Foxtel Group commercial director, sports, Rebecca McCloy, said: “All of the domestic golf bodies have come together to offer golf fans a complete package of events this summer and we are incredibly pleased to partner with them to showcase the entire schedule of Australian golf for the millions of subscribers watching sport on Foxtel and Kayo.

“The Foxtel Group is already the number one destination to watch golf globally including the PGA Tour, the European Tour (DP World Tour), the Ryder Cup and all four Majors.

“Together with making two of the most popular Australian tournaments available free on Kayo, this new agreement is a great result for golf fans and our sports subscribers.”

“Kayo reaches a very engaged, passionate, hard-to-reach audience with solid integration opportunities across a raft of sports. During the Foxtel’s Showcase last year, it was noted that 70% of viewing is on Connected TV meaning the content and advertising is being viewed in an impactful way (on the big screen) in co-viewing environments,” she said.
