About the Role
The Golf & Membership Co-Ordinator plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing all facets of golf services at Ranfurlie Golf Course. This includes managing the Pro Shop and Teaching Academy, delivering exceptional member engagement, curating golf events, and driving uptake of all the Club’s golf facilities.
You will act as a key liaison between members, staff, executive management, and the Board of Directors, driving excellence in service delivery, retail performance, and operational best practice. You will also contribute to wider corporate and community initiatives across the Amstel Group, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision and community-focused mission.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director and is instrumental in both day-to-day operations and longer-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Golf Operations, including the Pro Shop and Member Services.
- Lead and support customer service and retail functions, ensuring alignment with commercial KPIs
- Provide direction for the Teaching Academy and its professionals
- Coordinate and implement Member Golf Events, Corporate Golf Days, and competitions
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote golf and hospitality services
- Develop and execute member engagement strategies, improving retention and satisfaction
- Develop and spearhead initiatives to foster participation in golf across all areas of the business, particularly with regards to lady members, junior members, inclusion members and elderly members.
- Prepare reports and provide key input to committee meetings, including minute preparation for:
- Greens Sub-Committee
- Membership Sub-Committee
- Disciplinary Sub-Committee
- Match Sub-Committee
- Ladies Committee
- Actively participate in broader group functions, including:
- Weekly Management Meetings
- Amstel Group OHS Committee Meeting
- Work in partnership with the Amstel Club and Function Teams to align cross-venue goals
Ensure consistent adherence to the Club’s ISO-accredited management systems and compliance frameworks

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proactive, passionate leader who thrives in a member-centric and commercially focused environment.
Essential Qualities:
- Strong background in golf operations, membership services, or sport club leadership
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Event coordination experience, with a focus on member and corporate golf
- Proficiency in POS systems (SwiftPOS), online bookings, MiClub, MiMembership, and reporting software
- High-level administrative and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment — fostering strong, respectful working relationships with the Management Team, and maintaining clear, constructive communication with the Board of Directors to support strategic alignment and operational cohesion.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with golf retail operations and inventory management
- Sound understanding of safety protocols, and compliance procedures
- Commercial acumen and the ability to balance member satisfaction with business outcomes
- Passion for community development and inclusion initiatives
- A respectful and empathetic approach to supporting staff and patrons from diverse backgrounds — including people living with disabilities, CALD communities, and older Australians
- Willingness to champion programs such as the EveryOne Café, Inclusion Golf Clinics, and our award-winning supported employment programs
