Inglewood Golf Club (NZ) given a $40,000 construction grant
A Taranaki golf club has been given a $40,000 grant towards the construction of new workshop sheds.
The New Zealand Community Trust has given the money to the Inglewood Golf Club.
The club’s current workshop is used for storage and not of sufficient standard to allow all required maintenance to be carried out on site.
As a result, most maintenance is performed off-site by contractors, and the club estimates the new sheds will save $10,000 a year by allowing more to be done on site.
Former captain and current committee member John Christini said the new sheds would also provide more storage and make the club less expensive to run.
“We are able to pass this benefit directly on to our community by keeping subscriptions, green fees and club house hire rates low.”
