We’re seeking a passionate and experienced individual to support our hospitality operations and help deliver consistently high standards across all member and guest experiences.
Position Overview – Assistant Hospitality Manager
This hands-on leadership role supports the Hospitality Manager in overseeing daily food and beverage operations across the clubhouse, dining areas, bar, tee service, and function spaces. You’ll help lead the team, uphold service excellence, and ensure smooth delivery of member events and golf-related functions in a dynamic club setting.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Assist in the day-to-day management of hospitality operations.
- Uphold high food and beverage service standards across all areas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and support hospitality staff across all shifts.
- Contribute to rostering, training, and team performance management.
- Promote a positive, service-driven team culture.
Event & Golf Day Coordination
- Coordinate member events, functions, and golf day experiences.
- Run pre-event briefings and oversee setup, service, and pack-down.
Member & Guest Engagement
- Build rapport with members and guests, ensuring feedback is actioned.
- Handle any service issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Stock & Financial Management
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and bar operations.
- Help manage costs, reduce wastage, and support budget goals.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in a hospitality supervisory or management role (club/resort background preferred).
- RSA and food safety certification.
- Confident leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong operational knowledge and attention to detail.
- Experience with Northstar Club Management Software highly regarded.
Desirable Attributes
- Passion for golf and familiarity with private club environments.
- Availability for evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
- Calm, composed, and professional under pressure.
