Remuera Golf Club is one of New Zealand’s premier golfing destinations, known for its vibrant community, outstanding facilities, and commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Executive to lead the Club into its next phase of growth and development.

The Opportunity

As Chief Executive, you will drive the strategy of the Club, enhancing member engagement, overseeing key business operations, and ensuring financial sustainability. Reporting to the Chairman of the Board, you will lead a dedicated team and cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance Member Experience & Engagement – Develop and implement strategies to elevate the overall experience for members, ensuring a strong sense of community and belonging.
Business Unit Management – Oversee the Club’s operations, including financial performance, complex revenue streams and key service areas, to ensure efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Strategic Leadership – Work closely with the Board to shape and execute the Club’s strategic direction, positioning Remuera Golf Club as a leader in New Zealand’s golf industry.
Continuous improvement – Identify opportunities for positive change and development across all areas of the club including clubhouse, course, driving ranges and other facilities.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement – Build strong relationships with members, staff, sponsors, and the wider golfing community to foster collaboration and growth.

About You:

We are looking for a visionary leader with:

Extensive business leadership experience within complex stakeholder environments, ideally from a sporting or membership based organisation with a focus on membership and/or service delivery.
Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to drive growth and operational excellence.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer and member experiences.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
A results-driven approach, with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day operations.
