The Club
Established in 1891, The Royal Melbourne Golf Club is one of the world’s great golf clubs.
With two world-class golf courses, and a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive environment, Royal Melbourne sets the benchmark in high standards for member facilities, services, and experiences.
The role
The club is currently seeking to appoint a new General Manager. The General Manager is responsible to the club’s council, playing a vital leadership role in managing all aspects of the club’s business. The role demands a General Manager with a desire to lead from the front and actively engage with members, guests, and staff.
The successful candidate will possess the following key performance attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership, with a focus on delivering high-quality member experiences by a high-performing team.
- A proven record in private club management, with effective governance and extensive business acumen.
- A strategic focus, with successful development and execution of strategic and annual business plans.
It is essential that you are friendly, independent and a motivated person, with strong communication and personal skills that match the club’s unique culture. Considerable golf knowledge and/or experience is vital.
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will be commensurate to the role.
