North Shore Golf Club (NSGC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Golf Course Superintendent.

NSGC is a 27-hole private members’ golf club situated in Albany on the North Shore in Auckland.   The Club is home to 1200 members and the course attracts approximately 75-85,000 rounds per annum.  NSGC is in the early stages of an exciting turf-transition plan, which will encompass significant upgrades to several key aspects of the course, all of which are focused on NSGC becoming the ‘golf club destination of choice’.

This is a unique opportunity to join the senior management team and be part of one the most progressive and exciting golf clubs in New Zealand.

The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for all course maintenance, agronomic operations, budget control and personnel.

We are seeking applicants who are highly motivated with the following:

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of agronomy and hold recognised turf diploma/certificate
• Ability and experience to prepare surfaces to tournament/international standards
• Experience in construction and grow-in of new developments
• Budgetary Management
• Sound and proven knowledge of health & safety, pesticide and hazardous substances legislation
• Experience with managing a fleet of machinery and plant equipment
• Experience with Site-Pro irrigation management system or similar
• Experience with the management of warm season and cool-season grasses.
• A suitable remuneration package will be available.
