Beaudesert Golf Club is a picturesque country club located in the heart of the expanding Scenic Rim of South East Queensland. Beaudesert Golf Club offers a complete golfing experience. It is still a growing club, in a growing community.

The Club is in the final stage of completing significant renovations making it the number one venue for Wedding and other special events. Beaudesert Golf Club host a sound group of members along with many visiting social groups for a challenging round of Golf

The Role

As the Operations Manager, you will be committed to consistently delivering outstanding products and services to members and guests.

  • Providing leadership and support to all staff reporting to this role.
  • Promoting the clubs reputation of being friendly and inclusive through working positively with members, the committee and staff,
  • Being proactive in identifying and advising the committee on how to grow membership, improve the club’s financial position through strategic business planning
  • An important aspect of this role is the marketing and growing of the Club’s revenue, including, patronage, memberships, as well as social, charity, and corporate events.

This role will suit someone who has already proven themselves in similar roles. This person will be self-motivated with a growth mindset. A proactive, and flexible approach is crucial as is having a highly customer orientated and service driven work ethic.

The key skills and attributes we are seeking in the Operations Manager are:

  • Outstanding communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership skills. Ability to work in a team and in a collaborative environment with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Operational excellence. Highly organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ensuring high level of safety, compliance and legal requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager’s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintaining and monitoring the Club’s financial performance
  • Overseeing Club employees and managing day to day operations of all areas of the Club
  • Regular promotion and marketing the Beaudesert Golf Club to increase playing members, social playing and visitation numbers to our club.
  • Maintaining high standards of staff performance.
  • Oversee and control bar, cellar and gaming operations ensuring that all legal obligations regarding RSA and RSG are met.
  • Maintain an efficient and effective operation of the pro shop and cart hire

Skills and Experience

To be successful you will need to possess the following mandatory attributes and accreditations:

  • Knowledge and experience of golf and sporting facility management is advantage but not essential
  • Possess current RSA, RSG & RMLV qualifications.
  • Have at least 2-3 year’s experience in management and leading a team.
  • Proficient working knowledge of POS system and all Microsoft programmes
  • Demonstrable financial management, analysis and reporting competencies.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and support the Management Committee

 
An attractive remuneration package including performance based bonus arrangements will be negotiated that reflects the qualifications, experience and performance of the successful applicant.
