JOB: Golf Operations Manager – Canberra
The Royal Canberra Golf Club is looking to recruit a Golf Operations Manager to assist The Director of Golf in managing the day to day operations of the Club’s golf department. The successful applicant will become an integral member of the management team and report directly to the Director of Golf.

Royal Canberra is one of Australia’s premier private clubs located in the beautiful Westbourne Woods. The Club’s golf facilities include 27 holes, a 240m driving range, a short iron range, two chipping greens and two practice putting greens. Our team of 70 staff are highly professional, positive, service orientated and motivated.

The Golf Operations Manager will manage the day to day operations of the Golf Shop and teaching services including management of:
- Member services;
- Competitions, electronic prize distribution and electronic timesheets;
- Merchandising, retail sales, stock control and point of sale systems;
- Staff development, training, rostering and payroll;
- Corporate golf events and yield maximisation.
Expectations
This full time salaried position requires permanent weekend work. The successful applicant must be a current PGA Member and will preferably possess:
- Exceptional communication, management and leadership skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Management experience in a member service environment.
- Formal qualifications including a Bachelor of Business/Commerce would be beneficial.
