JOB: House Manager – Northbridge Golf Club

About

Northbridge Golf Club is seeking an experienced and customer-focused House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our clubhouse and hospitality services.

The club is undergoing an increase in patronage following the recent appointment of an outside contractor to provide the catering operations.  The role will have a bar management focus with daily coordination with caterers to deliver the best outcome for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain a culture of customer service excellence for members, guests, visitors, and event attendees.
  • Lead, manage, train, and support bar staff
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the presentation, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the clubhouse and surrounding hospitality areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Work Health & Safety (WHS/OH&S) requirements and liquor licensing regulations.
  • Maintain operational policies, procedures, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate clubhouse events, functions, and golf-related hospitality activities.
  • Liaise closely with the Club’s contract caterer regarding restaurant operations, bookings, special events, and member functions.
  • Monitor stock control, ordering, and inventory management for bar operations.
  • Assist management with budgeting, reporting, and operational improvements where required.

About You

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, club, hotel, or venue management role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience with staff training, rostering, and performance management.
  • Sound knowledge of liquor licensing requirements and WHS legislation.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
  • A proactive, professional, and hands-on approach to management.
