POSTED ON April 13, 2023 @ 7:24 pm

The Role

The Bonnie Doon Golf Club is seeking to fill the role of Hospitality Manager to assist the Club in providing a first-class experience for our members and guests and promoting a friendly club environment.

The key responsibility of the role is making our members and guests happy.

The successful applicant will possess great organisational skills and a positive can-do attitude. This includes supervision, organisation and assisting with the leadership of our talented team, barista duties, a la carte function service, bar service and café service.

You will be an integral part of the Senior Management team and bring experience to the role which empowers the hospitality team to consistently deliver a professional and memorable experience for all members and their guests.

Previous experience in a five-star hotel, fine dining restaurant or other private club is very desirable.

The Club

Located just a few kilometres from the Sydney CBD and near the International Airport, the Bonnie Doon Golf Club having been founded in 1897, is the third oldest golf club in Sydney and is ranked in the top 5 courses in Sydney.

It is a private member’s club located at Pagewood in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, with an 18-hole course recently re-designed by Ogilvy, Cocking, and Mead. The course features large, undulating greens and has views of the city from the golf course.

With its substantial Georgian-fronted clubhouse, “The grandeur of a country estate in the heart of Sydney’s east”, the wood-paneled 140-person dining room with its high ceilings, parquet dance floor and signature fireplace help take the Member/Guest experience to the next level.

Membership is currently closed with over 1100 golfing members and over 400 applicants waiting to join. The club employs over 45 staff.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in the role you will need to display a passion for making people happy and providing exceptional service.

This is a full-time role of 40 to 45 hours per week, with minimum requirements to apply for this role including a current RSA Certificate, own transport, availability to work weekends, excellent communication skills and most importantly an awesome personality!

This role offers something rare in Hospitality – genuine work-life balance, as this role is primarily day shifts with no split shifts you are offered flexibility with respect to working hours, however, weekend work will be required given the nature of the club industry itself.

Training and support are also provided to assist with your career advancement.

A very competitive remuneration package, directly relating to your qualifications, experience, and skills will be negotiated.

Applications

The application process will be managed by Recruitment Consultant Mike Orloff from Golf Recruitment Central.

Please provide a CV with Cover Letter addressing the above Selection Criteria to Mike via the tab below by COB 7 May 2023.
