Kingston Links Closing

POSTED ON May 28, 2018 @ 4:05 pm

Following years of golf operation and functions, the Kingston Links Golf Course will host its final golfers on July 1st, 2018.

The owners of the 65ha site occupying the golf course have for some time been planning a residential  development within the unique wetland zone. Throughout the time of planning, the ongoing golf operations were managed by Golf Services Management who’ve successfully ushered the facility through an ongoing transition period with the course remaining in good condition all the way through and with virtually no decline in playing numbers. Existing season pass holders have been offered alternative playing arrangements, many of whom have elected to move to other GSM venues located in Melbourne.

Golf Services Management director Ian Denny remarked that “it has been a wonderful challenge keeping the venue operating to a standard envied by most public golf courses, knowing that the end was always just around the corner. Having previously closed the Park Course for the Amstel Golf Club in Cranbourne certainly gave us valuable experience in what to expect and how to handle the closure given the complexity of balancing staff, marketing and course maintenance.”

Golfers can play the course for the last time in June with some great deals being offered in the last month of operation
