Dylan Lindstrom, the dynamic leader at Royal Wellington, has been named the Club Car Club Manager of the Year at the recent NZ Golf Industry Council Whole of Golf Conference. The prestigious award recognizes Lindstrom’s exceptional vision, dedication, and leadership that has ensured the club’s continued prosperity and global standing.
The judging panel was unanimous in praising Lindstrom’s transformational leadership over the past year. He was lauded for successfully modernizing the club’s financial systems and digital platforms while actively strengthening membership engagement through uncertain times.
A Hands-On, Forward-Thinking Leader
Lindstrom’s impact is visible across the entire club. Judges highlighted his “visible and engaged approach,” noting his efforts in mentoring junior staff, coordinating operations, and personally connecting with members on the course.
Under his guidance, Royal Wellington’s community initiatives have flourished, resulting in record revenue across Food & Beverage and the Golf Shop, driven by growth in social programs, youth development, and hospitality services.
Furthermore, Lindstrom spearheaded bold course redevelopment projects, including the innovative introduction of hybrid grass surfaces. His strategic vision is putting Royal Wellington on the global stage, notably by securing the club as the host for the Women’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in 2026.
