Lonsdale Links enters next stage of major redevelopment
Victorian golf course Lonsdale Links is currently undergoing a major course overhaul, with the existing course being completely transformed
The public-access 18 hole links course, located in the coastal dunes of Point Lonsdale and bordering the beautiful Lake Victoria, will be ready for play in December 2020.
The course was previously named Point Lonsdale Golf Links, but has now been relaunched as Lonsdale Links as part of the facility’s evolution.
Deliberate throwback
Course architects OCM Golf have featured some template holes and designed the course as a deliberate throwback to an earlier age and a unique look for an Australian course.
Charles Blair Macdonald and his colleagues Seth Raynor and Charles Banks has been used as inspiration.
With the first 9 holes now completed, the course moves into the second stage of construction.
During construction, 9 holes will be in play with the existing clubhouse and facilities providing a complete range of services.
