Michael Williams Named 2026 Club Manager of the Year
Michael Williams, General Manager of Mount Maunganui Golf Club, was awarded the 2026 Club Car / CMA NZ Club Manager of the Year Award.
Williams was recognized for his career commitment to innovation, leadership, and service. His tenure at Mount Maunganui Golf Club includes leading key facility advancements, most notably the development of a massive new putting green and the creation of a modern driving range facility that has strengthened the venue’s standing as a premier New Zealand golf destination.
Beyond his local club, Williams served four years on the CMA NZ Board, advocating for industry education and professional development, with a particular focus on the Bay of Plenty region. The award acknowledges both his achievements over the past year and his long-term contribution to the wider golfing community.
