Mowbray Golf Club Secures Major Honors at Inaugural Clubs Tasmania Awards
Mowbray Golf Club (MGC) earned top honors at the inaugural Clubs Tasmania Awards ceremony, taking home the title of Sports Club of the Year (Metro, Large) and receiving a Silver award for Inclusive Club of the Year.
The presentation took place at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre. Hayden, the club’s General Manager, collected the awards on behalf of the organization.

Recognition of Key Contributors
Following the event, representatives from Mowbray Golf Club expressed gratitude to the individuals and organizations that contributed to the achievement, stating:
“Thank you to our board, staff, volunteers, members and sponsors. These awards are yours.”
The club also extended thanks to event organizers Clubs Tasmania and Hospitality Tasmania, adding:
“Thank you to Clubs Tasmania and Hospitality Tasmania for a first rate event, and to Steve Old and Tom Darke in particular, who have helped this club in a lot of different ways over a long period.”
