New Great White Shark Golf Course in Port Lincoln Gets Expert Norman Overview
Australian golfing legend, Greg Norman, has teamed up with 1984 Olympic weightlifting gold medallist Dean Lukin to create the new Great White Shark golf course on the outskirts of Port Lincoln. The former athletes both hold one another in high regard and were looking forward to working together, to create the 18 hole championship course. It features the outline of a great white shark, aimed at luring tourists from around the world to the renowned fishing hub, will be the centrepiece of a major development in Port Lincoln. The project, to be completed over 20 years, will include 500 homes, a commercial precinct, a new wharf for the city’s commercial fishing fleet, and a hotel and shopping centre on the southern edge of the town’s marina. Norman was impressed with the site, while The Lukin Corporation’s chairman Dean Lukin senior said they were delighted with his proposal that shows off Norman’s remarkable attention to detail and golfing knowledge. Lukin hoped the land rezoning will be completed this year and work on the second phase, including the golf course, will start in the second half of 2013.Click here for full golf story and golf source New Great White Shark Golf Course in Port Lincoln Gets Expert Norman Overview See related story; Greg Norman Returns to his Roots
