NZ: Inaugural Women Leading in Golf Summit 2026 Announced

POSTED ON July 23, 2026 @ 7:00 am

The inaugural Women Leading in Golf Summit will take place on September 7–8, 2026, at the Royal Auckland Golf Club, bringing together women from across the golf industry in New Zealand and Australia.

Organized under the theme “Connecting. Inspiring. Empowering,” the two-day event aims to inspire confidence, foster meaningful connections, and support the career growth of women across all sectors of the sport.

A Summit Shaped for the Entire Industry

The event is designed for professionals working across a wide range of roles within the golf community, including club management, golf operations, hospitality, turf management, administration, governance, coaching, and the PGA.

Organizers have issued an invitation for recommendations for women and industry leaders to contribute as speakers and facilitators, noting a commitment to “continue to build a summit shaped by the industry, for the industry.” Attendees can expect a program featuring industry speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities aimed at providing fresh ideas and renewed confidence to lead.

Addressing the Realities of Modern Club Life

The summit is powered by DRIVE, an initiative established to address the evolving landscape of golf clubs, rising member expectations, and the changing ways clubs lead, communicate, and operate.

According to organizers, women are shaping the culture and performance of clubs every day, contributing to areas from finance to governance. However, professional pathways are not always clear, support networks can be invisible, and opportunities to connect with peers who understand the industry remain rare.

“Women Leading in Golf has been created in response to that reality,” the organization stated. “Not as a statement of division, but as an investment in strength. An investment in connection, confidence and capability.”

Focus on Skill-Building and Collective Growth

DRIVE aims to provide a space where women can share experiences openly, build practical skills, and expand their perspectives. The initiative operates on the principle that supporting women directly benefits the broader golf community.

“DRIVE is about bringing women together to share experiences openly, build practical skills, expand perspective, and leave feeling clearer about your value and your direction,” organizers said. “When women across our industry are supported to grow, our clubs will grow stronger. This is about backing ourselves, backing one another. And DRIVING the future of golf together!”
