NZME Announces Exclusive Multi-Year Partnership with Chasing The Fox

POSTED ON June 3, 2026 @ 10:28 am

New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) has announced an exclusive multi-year media partnership with the annual short-format golfing event, Chasing The Fox.

The agreement formalizes and expands upon the support Radio Hauraki has provided to the tournament in previous years. Hosted by Kiwi professional golfer Ryan Fox, Chasing The Fox features New Zealand sports stars, media personalities, politicians, and international golf icons competing against Fox for prize money donated to their chosen charities.

Focus on Experience-Led Events

NZME head of commercial partnerships, events & activations Emily Travers stated that the partnership aligns with the media company’s focus on experience-led events.

“Chasing The Fox is a high energy, unique spectacle that has cemented itself as a must-attend event on the annual calendar,” Travers said. “We know the combination of sport and entertainment is becoming hugely popular with New Zealand audiences and this event continues to go from strength to strength. We’re excited to support that growth through exclusive content, live coverage and integrated activations that will deliver value for audiences, clients and the event itself.”

Expanding Media Capabilities

Chasing The Fox founder and event owner Nick Randell noted that the partnership marks an important next chapter for the tournament’s growth.

“Radio Hauraki has been part of Chasing The Fox for a number of years, so it’s fantastic to now formalise and evolve that relationship, providing us the opportunity to access NZME’s full suite of audio, print and digital capabilities,” Randell said. “NZME knows how to bring energy, personality and storytelling to live events, and this partnership will help us continue to elevate the experience for players, spectators and partners as the event continues to grow.”

As part of the multi-year agreement, Radio Hauraki will broadcast live on-site and host spectator-focused activations to bring the station and its hosts directly into the tournament.

The next Chasing The Fox event is scheduled to take place at the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club on December 11.
