Owens appointed new GM of Cronulla GC

POSTED ON February 2, 2024 @ 5:21 pm

Lee Owens has been appointed as General Manager of Cronulla Golf Club, commencing 12 February 2024.

Lee’s formal qualifications include a Diploma of Education, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Birmingham, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of NSW.

Over the past decade, Lee has worked nationally with more than 100 Golf Club Managers and PGA Professionals, providing a sustainable framework that delivers a great customer experience and best practice in business systems within golf clubs. Lee brings a sound understanding of innovative, tailored marketing strategies and can develop and deliver new revenue opportunities for our Golf Club.

Lee is a very customer-focused leader and is eager to interact with our membership regularly and continuously.

Below is a brief VIDEO introduction to Lee. Watching the video will give you insight into Lee’s management style, love of golf, and the importance of ensuring our members are highly valued.

As General Manager Lee will retain the existing reporting lines, with our Superintendent continuing to report to the Board. Naturally, given the nature of the Superintendent role, Aaron will maintain a very close working relationship with the General Manager.

The Board wants to sincerely thank our Finance Manager, Graeme Dickson, for his outstanding efforts, during a very busy time of the year, in managing our Club whilst the search for a new General Manager was underway.
