Pace of Play guru and Golf Industry Central form partnership

POSTED ON March 4, 2015 @ 10:00 am

Golf Industry Central (GIC) is excited to announce a partnership with Bill Yates of Pebble Beach, CA, international slow play expert and the “guru of pace of play,” to bring Pace Manager Systems® to golf courses and clubs in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Using the same techniques that he used to help courses such as the Old Course at St Andrews, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Hong Kong Golf Club, Singapore Island Country Club and hundreds of others solve their slow play problems and take a larger share of their market, Yates plans to explode the myths that perpetuate slow play and help courses in Australia and Asia decrease complaints, improve the playing experience, and increase profits.

“Australia has a long and distinguished history of golf and continues to generate leading players on the tour, and Asia is taking the game by storm,” says Yates. “I look forward to working in these areas to help courses and clubs improve their quality and their bottom line, so they can help their players fully enjoy their games on Australia’s, New Zealand’s and Asia’s great courses.”

“Our industry continues to hear about pace of play issues but not many seem to take the needed steps to get to the core of the real problem – how it gets managed.” says Golf Industry Central Managing Director Mike Orloff. “GIC will provide sales and marketing support to Pace Manager Systems® in this region. I am excited about the systems, as they are not solely about improving the time on course, but to more importantly improve the overall experience had by a player each time they visit a course.”

Pace Manager Systems®: Guaranteed Solutions for Every Need

Courses can choose Pace Manager Systems four-day onsite training and improvement program that will have immediate positive impact on the playing experience and the bottom line, as well as Pace Designer Systems, giving architects the ability to build optimal pace of play into every course design.

Bill Yates: BIO

Bill Yates, the international “Guru of Pace of Play” and Founder of the transformational Pace Manager Systems® suite, has dedicated decades to the analysis of how managers of golf courses and clubs can speed up play, improve the golf experience, and increase profits. He has helped hundreds of public, private, municipal and resort courses around the world lower their round times and improve customer value and revenue.

Bill also works with golf course architects and others who are designing redesigning, or renovating a golf course. His Pace Designer Systems® optimizes the flow of play while the course is being built or rebuilt, and provides tools to manage play from opening day.

Bill is a frequent presenter at golf conferences and has been featured in every major golf publication. He has consulted with the courses at St Andrews in Scotland, the cradle of golf, and has assisted the Royal & Ancient Golf Club and the United States Golf Association in managing the pace of play for their Open Championships.

Bill and Pace Manager Systems have demonstrated again and again that the problem of slow play can be solved.
