Royal Melbourne GC Appoints New General Manager
After an extensive executive search process, The Royal Melbourne Golf Club has appointed Michael Burgess to the role of General Manager.
Burgess is an experienced leader in the Australian golf industry and is currently the General Manager of The Metropolitan Golf Club and has previously held the General Manager roles at both Sorrento and Cranbourne Golf Clubs.
Burgess values strong connections with members through an engaging and hands-on leadership style. He is looking forward to fostering a collaborative team environment, stewarding a strong Club culture and Member experience, and successfully contributing to the Club’s long-term strategic objectives.
Peter Stackpole will remain in the Interim General Manager role until Michael commences his role in May 2025.
