Sanctuary Lakes to benefit from water project
A MULTI-MILLION dollar project to help businesses cut their consumption of drinking water starts this Thursday.
City West Water confirmed last week that construction of the $36 million water recycling plant in Altona was set to start.
The project will reduce the amount of drinking water consumed by local industry, saving 2.5 billion litres each year. When finished, the plant will produce high-quality recycled water which is then distributed via a pipeline to chemical plants, golf courses and open spaces in Altona.
