Treechange Opportunity: Course Superintendent – The City Golf Club
About
Established in 1926 the City Golf Club located in Toowoomba, QLD, is a cornerstone of golfing excellence in the region.
Located just 90 minutes west of Brisbane, the club boasts a membership exceeding 1000 avid golfers.
The current long serving Superintendent (30 years) is commencing a transitional period into retirement and the Club is seeking a committed Course Superintendent to contribute to the fulfillment of the club’s Vision.
The challenging, par 70, 18-hole course spans over 5800 meters and played host to the QLD PGA Championships from 2009-2020, as well as host of events including Junior Interstate Series and Legends Tour Pro-Ams.
Tight tree lined fairways and undulating bent grass greens are the signature of our course, making this relatively short course quite the test for golfers of all abilities. The new Course Improvement Plans have been recently put together by their Course Architect, and we will strive to continue working on areas of the course to improve all aspects of difficulty, playability, and maintenance.
This multi-award-winning club has 90,000 Social Members, a 46 room 4 ½ Star Motel, Mini Golf and Driving Range facilities, Tabatinga Family Fun Centre and Bowls Club – Rink 46.
