SEEKING: Head Professional – Mowbray Golf Club

POSTED ON March 14, 2018 @ 11:09 am

Located in the Northern Suburbs of Launceston and established in 1934, the Mowbray Golf Club is one of Tasmania’s leading championship courses, playing host annually to the Men’s Senior Amateur Championship (TAS) and the State’s richest Pro-Am. With growing member numbers and a renewed management structure the Club is building back to a strong position for both current and future golfing needs.

The Club now seeks to engage a suitably qualified Head Professional to manage Pro Shop operations including retail sales, competition starter, lessons, repairs and more as an independent contractor. A suitable retainer and provision of further income streams are to be negotiated.

Applications are encouraged from certified members of the PGA of Australia with experience teaching in a similar golfing establishment and ideally advanced status in the coaching or game development streams. Excellent communication skills complemented with strong attention to detail and experience using golf technology are essential qualities sought, as is the ability to deliver outstanding customer service. The candidate would ideally assist the Board and Management in promoting Mowbray Golf Club within the community as well as driving junior programs.

Phone enquiries are welcome by contacting Patrick Bessell, General Manager on 0438 599 968.

Please forward applications including a CV and cover letter to Patrick via golf@mowbraygolfclub.com
