STRYKR Port Noarlunga Unveiled: A New Era for Golf and Multi-Sport Recreation in SA

POSTED ON December 17, 2025 @ 12:00 pm

A major transformation is coming to South Australia’s Port Noarlunga’s WM Hunt Park, with GreenSpace Management announcing the complete rebranding and upgrade of the area’s driving range into STRYKR Port Noarlunga.

Set to open on 1 January 2026, STRYKR promises to be a cutting-edge, community-focused multi-sport destination that blends innovative technology with the iconic seaside environment.

The new facility represents a “fresh start,” moving beyond the traditional driving range model to create a vibrant hub for all ages and abilities.

Tech-Driven Golf Experience

At the core of the new facility is an elevated golf experience featuring state-of-the-art technology.

  • 24 Undercover Bays will be equipped with Trackman ball-tracking technology. This world-class system offers serious players precise data for practice while providing interactive games and entertainment for casual visitors.
  • Six Premium Green Grass Bays will be retained, catering to those who prefer a traditional practice environment.

All golf facilities are designed to be accessible and usable year-round, regardless of the weather.

Introducing New Sports to Adelaide

STRYKR is significantly expanding its offerings to become a true multi-sport destination:

  • URBN SHANX Mini Golf: The facility will feature Australia’s second URBN SHANX mini golf course. This contemporary, high-design adventure aims to be an engaging and accessible entry point for families, non-golfers, and young people.
  • Padel Courts: In a major move for South Australian sport, STRYKR will introduce Padel—the world’s fastest-growing racket sport—to Adelaide, integrated with other sports.
    • The initial phase includes two state-of-the-art padel courts, with plans for two more.
    • Padel is described as a dynamic hybrid of tennis and squash, played in an enclosed court that emphasizes strategy, collaboration, and social play, making it highly addictive and easy to learn.

A Hub for Community and Sustainability

The vision for STRYKR is centred on creating a welcoming hub that redefines recreation while respecting its coastal surroundings. The design will feature a natural colour palette, low-impact construction, and a central courtyard for community gatherings, fostering local wellbeing, economic growth, and environmental sensitivity.

Peter Vlahandreas, Managing Director of GreenSpace Management, stated, “Our goal with STRYKR is to strike a perfect balance between innovation, site sensitivity, and community value… This fresh start transforms a beloved local asset into a modern space that invites everyone to connect, play, and thrive.”

This sentiment was echoed by Golf Australia’s General Manager, Damien de Bohun: “Facilities like STRYKR embody the philosophy that all golf is golf, driving record participation by offering technology, social play, and vibrant hubs that welcome all.”

City of Onkaparinga CEO, Phu Nguyen, noted that the revamped facility directly aligns with the city’s vision for sustainable, community-focused development by providing equitable access to high-quality recreation.

STRYKR is committed to remaining open throughout the entire development process, with construction works scheduled to commence in 2026.

Launch Date: 1 January 2026

Location: WM Hunt Park, Port Noarlunga
