Swing Factory Moreton Bay Secures Development Approval

POSTED ON June 29, 2026 @ 10:37 am

Swing Factory has received Development Approval for its proposed venue in Moreton Bay, Queensland. The approval clears the way for construction to begin on the golf and entertainment facility later this year, with an expected opening in mid-to-late 2027.

Facility Features and Offerings

The upcoming Moreton Bay venue is designed to serve as a golf, leisure, and hospitality destination for both golfers and non-golfers. Once fully completed, the site will feature:

  • 26 driving range bays equipped with Toptracer technology.
  • An 18-hole mini golf course.
  • Dedicated food and beverage options.
  • Multi-purpose function and event spaces.
  • General family entertainment experiences.

The company aims to position the facility as a major community hub, offering practice spaces for players alongside social amenities for families, corporate groups, and regional visitors.

Next Steps and Timeline

With planning approvals finalized, the Swing Factory team is shifting focus toward the pre-construction phase. Immediate priorities include:

  1. Finalizing architectural and site designs.
  2. Appointing construction contractors.
  3. Preparing the Moreton Bay site for physical works.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2026, targeting a public opening window in mid-to-late 2027.

Leadership Insights

Swing Factory CEO Erich Weber highlighted the regional and corporate significance of the milestone, noting that it reinforces a broader demand for modern golf entertainment across Australia.

“Receiving Development Approval is a huge milestone for Swing Factory and an exciting moment for our team,” Weber said. “Moreton Bay is a rapidly growing region and we believe this facility will provide something truly unique for the community. Our goal has always been to create venues that combine the best in golf practice, entertainment and hospitality, while remaining welcoming and accessible to everyone.”

“We are looking forward to moving into the construction phase later in 2026 (with opening sometime in mid-late 2027) and ultimately delivering a world-class facility that golfers, families, businesses and visitors can enjoy for many years to come.”

National Expansion Strategy

The Moreton Bay project is part of Swing Factory’s broader commercial expansion across the country. The brand currently operates active venues at Terrey Hills in Sydney and Morack Public Golf in Melbourne.

To date, the company has secured seven distinct sites nationwide. Beyond Moreton Bay, development projects are actively progressing in Port Kembla, Southern Sydney, and Greater Melbourne as part of a strategy to establish Australia’s first nationwide network of golf entertainment facilities.
