VALE AL HOWARD OAM

The PGA of Australia was saddened to hear the news of PGA Life Member Albert Howard OAM passing away overnight.

Despite his ailing health over the past months Al was still sharp of mind and will be remembered for his significant contribution to golf in Australia.

Born on the 8th May 1913, Al was previously the oldest living PGA Professional in Australia and celebrated his 100th birthday in 2013.

Joining the PGA in 1931 Al had a long and distinguished career as the Head Professional at Woollahra and Cromer Golf Clubs as well as at Monash and Rosnay courses.
