POSTED ON July 16, 2019 @ 5:27 pm

Golf Management Australia is delighted to announce the signing of a two-year partnership between Walkinshaw Sports and GMA.

Walkinshaw Sports is home to some of the golf industry’s “must have” brands including Under Armour golf apparel, footwear and accessories, AFL, Clicgear, Cross Sportswear, Daphne’s Headcovers, Jofit, Nancy Lopez, Motocaddy, Nickent, NRL, Optima, PGF, Rovic and Walkinshaw.

The company’s core focus is investing in the long- term success of the brands in its portfolio.

Founded in 2010, Walkinshaw Sports is headquartered in Clayton, Victoria, alongside parent company Walkinshaw Automotive Group, with a recently expanded office and distribution centre in Auckland, New Zealand.

Walkinshaw Sports offers GMA and its members turnkey product distribution direct to your door with industry leading brands.

Dan Harrap, Walkinshaw Sports General Manager Australia and New Zealand said “on behalf of the entire Walkinshaw group of companies, we are honoured to form this strategic alignment with GMA and its members for the next two years.  The Walkinshaw name is synonymous with high performance and we will bring this philosophy and drive to succeed to this exciting new partnership”.

Our alignment with the GMA forms part of a strategic vision that will see us connect directly with General Managers and other associated GMA partners.  Together we can strive to underpin the future for golf retailing in Australia and New Zealand,” said Mr Harrap.

As part of the partnership, Walkinshaw Sports will have a presence at the upcoming 2019 GMA National Conference to be held in Melbourne this October, including providing every conference delegate with an Under Armour polo and backpack.  The Walkinshaw Sports team will also be seen at upcoming GMA led golf days throughout the partnership.

GMA Executive Officer, Jim Cail, said “we’re delighted to have Walkinshaw Sports come on board during such an exciting time for GMA.  The team at Walkinshaw Sports have already demonstrated their professionalism as we work through the exciting arrangements for the 2019 GMA National Conference, and I’ve got no doubt GMA members will witness this outstanding approach in the coming years, if they haven’t already.”
