Mike Space Autumn 2018

POSTED ON March 19, 2018 @ 3:18 pm

We are now well and truly into the first half of this New Year and Golf Industry Central is off to a flying start with recently being nominated for the QLD Industry Award – Supplier of the Year. It’s a great honour to have our name in lights among some of the major industry suppliers. Good luck to everyone on the night and we’ll see you at The Star on the Gold Coast on March 20!

The Autumn issue has a real Grow The Game flavour as we have been seeing many great initiatives and programs happening around the country. We are sharing their successes and we would love to hear what you are doing in this space!

As time flies, we are soon approaching some of the great industry events that are on the agenda this year, with the 2018 Golf Business Forum convention in Melbourne kicking things off in late July. Set to attract more than 250 people from across the Australian golf industry, this is an event not to miss out on! Delegates’ registration is open from this week onwards.

The second half of the year also sees The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and the Golf Managers Association of New Zealand (GMANZ) conjoint BMI International Conference and 8th Biennial 2018 GMANZ Conference in beautiful Queenstown, NZ, on 4- 11 October. An impressive speakers list recently release provides a further incentive to visit our neighbours this spring! See you there!

We are also looking forward to bringing back our good mates Gregg Patterson and Norm Spitzig onto Australian soil for another GREGG NORMAN ROADSHOW across the region mid year. Another possible return will be the guru of pace of play, Bill Yates, to assist clubs with one of the bigger issues in our industry – slow play. If you have any interest in our roadshows this year, give us a shout as we are seeking a few new opportunities to “spread the love”.

We hope you’re enjoying the supposedly cooler temperatures these upcoming months at your clubs and courses across the country, a bit of downpour will do the greens well after summer. Please feel free to drop me a line or call if you ever need any marketing and/or recruitment assistance on what you may be undertaking currently.

And remember, if you have a story to share about what’s happening at your club or facility, please drop us a line at info@golfindustrycentral.com.au
